Description
Hello!
I’m very pleased to present myself to you as a prospective carer/ support worker/friend!
My background for the last thirty five plus years has been predominantly in the care sector interspersed with retail work.
I started my care career in 1988 when my son was six years old. I began by working in a small nursing home and learned all the basics of care whilst there.
I progressed to working in residential homes, community care and have also worked in hospitals, secure units; even prisons!
Lately, over the last six or seven years I have enjoyed working with clients on a one to one basis, usually within their own homes and building up special bonds on a more personal level.
I enjoy driving, so trips and outings are no problem to me and I love getting out and about.
I enjoy reading, gardening, DIY and anything to do with animals, especially horses and dogs.
I am told I am easy to talk to and get along with and I like to meet different people from different walks of life. I have a special affinity with the elderly as I was very very close to my grandmother who nurtured me a lot as a child.
I look forward to meeting you and will be an honest and reliable carer should you decide you would like me to assist you.
